The mother-in-law of his disciple Peter was very ill. She was bedridden in her home in Capernaum, burning up with fever. But when Jesus entered her room and laid a hand on her forehead, the fever broke. The woman “arose and served them” (Matthew 8:15 KJV). She was cured. This is just one example of many miracles and healings Jesus performed in the Bible. He didn’t just stop fevers that might have passed on their own. He also cured leprosy and made the blind see. As it says in the Book of Matthew, “Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people” (Matthew 9:35 KJV). One can only imagine all the stories those few words contain. But such miracles are not just relics of the past. People today still experience miraculous recoveries and healings—the kind that just can’t be explained. Here are a few of them… Greg Thomas After he was diagnosed with cancer in May of 2009, Greg Thomas’s family was told to start planning his funeral. The disease, which had spread throughout his neck and head, had reached Stage 4. It was inoperable. He didn’t have much time left. Greg often took long walks. It was on one of these walks that he came upon the church. It was abandoned. But Greg felt drawn to it. The crumbling building became his place of refuge in the coming weeks. One evening, he was sitting on the church’s steps, deep in conversation with God. At one point, he looked around and realized the church was in bad shape. He promised God that before he left Earth, he would rebuild this dilapidated church. If it was the last thing he did. Inside, the church was in ruins. The floor boards were rotting away. Everything was covered with a thick layer of dust. So Greg got to work. He swept and dusted, re-shingled the roof and re-painted. And as he worked, he found his energy slowly returning. When Greg returned to his oncologist, he received shocking news: his tumors has begun to shrink. And they kept shrinking, until Greg’s cancer officially went into remission. As he told the Star Tribune: ““It was like as I was rebuilding the church, God was rebuilding me.” Kali Hardig https://youtu.be/D2ggJhEKIic) In July of 2013, the 12-year-old Kali Hardig visited a water park. A few days later, her parents were rushing her to the hospital. She was complaining of a headache and had a fever of 103 degrees. Tests revealed that Kali had contracted parasitic meningitis. It’s a rare infection caused by brain-eating amoebas. It’s also a deadly one. Kali was quickly put on antibiotics, but her doctors prepared her family for the worst. Even with treatment, the infection’s survival rate was less than 1%. At that time—in the whole of North America—only two people were known to have survived. But Kali would become the third. Not only that, but, six months later, she’d made a complete recovery. “It was God’s grace,” Dr. Matt Linam said in an interview with Reader’s Digest when asked how Kali survived. “Other than that, it was countless little things that went her way, countless little miracles that happened every day and made the difference between life and death.” Jean-Pierre Bely
Lourdes, France has a reputation for miracles. The small town drew international attention when, in 1858, a young girl named Bernadette claimed to see a vision of Mother Mary. Since then, Lourdes has been a destination for pilgrims and those seeking healing. Jean-Pierre Bely was one of those people. In 1987, he traveled to Lourdes. Years ago, Jean-Pierre had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the body’s central nervous system. He was now confined to a wheelchair. But during a service in Lourdes, Jean-Pierre felt something strange. “As the priest was giving me unction on the forehead and hands, I had the impression that everything was turning around me,” he was later quoted in the book Near-death Experiences Examined: Medical Findings and Testimonies from Lourdes. “In a fraction of a second I lost all sense of time and space. God was coming to cure my heart. I was invaded by a powerful feeling of liberation and peace that I had never experienced before.” After that experience, Jean-Pierre began to feel a tingling in his legs. A few days later, he took his first unaided steps in years. Subsequent examinations would show only minor traces of the illness that had once dominated his life. Though still a medical mystery, Jean-Pierre’s cure was deemed an official miracle by the Vatican in 2002. Luke Burgie For six months, he wasted away. When 4-year-old Luke Burgie fell ill with a mysterious stomach virus in 1998, doctors struggled to find a diagnosis. Then, as suddenly as they had developed, Luke’s symptoms disappeared. His doctors were baffled. They didn’t know why Luke had been sick and they had no explanation for why he’d improved almost overnight. But Luke’s mother, Jan Burgie, had an answer: Prayer. As her son lay in his hospital bed, Jan had called nuns from a local convent—Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration—and asked them to pray for him. Over the course of nine days, they did just that, praying to Mother Maria Theresia, the nun who began their order back in 1863. Within a month, the little boy had made a full recovery. “I just remember Luke’s brother saying, ‘Jesus’ healed Lukie! Jesus healed Lukie!’” Jan told FOX31. Fourteen years later, the Vatican declared Luke’s healing a miracle and Mother Maria Theresia was named Saint Maria Theresia. #Miracles #HolyLandMan

Many people believe in it because they experienced them or they witnessed them happen to other people. Whatever the reasons, we consider at least one point in our lives that we call a miracle. Miracles can be something small---like daily problems, and it can be something big---like bringing someone from the dead and healing diseases, which is often associated with divine intervention. Its meaning becomes more and more significant to what people consider as a miracle, and to what religious faith they adhere to.
For one, I know that when something happens that cannot be explained by science or medicine, I call it a miracle, coincidence to some, luck to others. These are the words we used to describe the things our minds can't understand. Now, the problem is these unexplained events in our lives do happen, but we don't pay attention and interpret them as normal. And when we treat them as normal, we don't realize their value, their importance. And when we don't value them, they lose their meaning, and we don't appreciate them and we are not grateful for them. Another problem is we just pray to God for miracles, but we don't make them happen. What's point of praying to God for the miracle to pass the exam when you don't study yourself? In conclusion, we need to change our mindset to recognize the miracles in us and those around us. #HolyLandMan #Miracles There was a time when I had worked five jobs while attending University. How can anyone experience this you may ask and still manage to still function? It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t fun. But bills needed to be paid. My rent was soon due. Electricity and gas had to be paid. Not to mention my tuition for school. I hadn’t even bought groceries yet for the week. It wasn’t supposed to be this way in all honesty. Growing up, we are taught to go to school, go to university, get a good job, get married, and start a family. Unfortunately, my road took a different course which led me to these five jobs. From retail on the floor, cash registers, to even online customer service. Riding back and forth in a bus, walking to work, and then finally being able to afford my own car (another bill in itself). I was struggling. Struggling to make time for myself from the stress which caused me to lose some hair and gain excess weight. Struggling to make time for school and the threat of losing my scholarship. Struggling to make ends meet just to barely live. It all changed one day when a friend and I had a day out for some tea. She was talking and raving about Holy Land Man and his words of freedom. How his words on finances helped to clear her ease and mind. ‘Words of freedom?’ I thought to myself. Couldn’t hurt to listen to a podcast, so I did. A wave of comfort had resonated over me as I listened to him. It was calm, like listening to the waves of the ocean on a cool evening breeze on the beach. I cried. That’s how much relief I felt from his comforting words. I took the time to reevaluate my life, my future goals, and how I would be able to achieve them. I weighed out the several jobs I had and determined which ones would be most beneficial to me in the long one, letting the others go. This job...this one opportunity that I was striving for had finally come through. Today, I no longer stress about finances. I am no longer stressed about the next paycheck. I am no longer stressed about school because I cannot focus on it due to being so tired by stretching myself so thin. It doesn’t have to be that way. It doesn’t have to be hard. You don’t have to grieve and lose sleep. I’m thankful for that podcast that said the right words at the right time.
#FinancialFreedom #HolyLandMan #Success I committed a big mistake to the love of my life and I greatly suffered from it, until I heard Holy Land Man, Don Karl Juravin talk about forgiveness which changed me. I am Richard, 27 years old, from Chicago. I met my girlfriend during college, and we continued dating after graduation while finding job opportunities and working experience. I found a good company but it was a 1.5-hour drive from her, so we don't hang out much as we did before. This was on the 3rd year of our relationship. I transferred to a closer location to my work and asked her to move in with me, but she didn't want to because it will elongate her time going to her work. I realized it was a selfish act, so I took effort in visiting her as much as I can. For months I noticed she is more occupied with her job, so much that sometimes she still work while I am around. This frustrates me. This was when I though she might be seeing someone else, but too coward to ask her. All of these thing build up inside me and I just ignored it. Then came an office party and I am too drunk that I blurted out to my team, "My girlfriend is cheating on me." They were sober enough to be silent and someone tapped me on the back. It was P. She gave me her number and told me to call her soon. I am confused, drunk, tired, and lonely but I know none of this justify the mistake I have made. The rest happened afterwards. We didn't last long, as shallow relationships does. And yet the pain and misery didn't leave me. It only doubled on the fact that I have to tell my girlfriend soon. I was crying and crying for night before I told my girlfriend. She was angry of course, but she is calm after a week and said she wanted to give me a chance. I wish things was back to normal. For her at least. But for me, I was still unhappy and can't forgive myself. She observed me of course, and keep reassuring me that she forgave me. Then, she showed me Holy Land Man's video and there I realized that she totally forgave me even though I am not worth it, but I need to also forgive myself. If I don't, I will keep on messing things up and think negatively. #HolyLandMan #DonKarlJuravin #Forgiveness #HolyLandManMiracles |
